Abstract

The digital world not only offers great opportunities and benefits to the public and business interests. But it also provides challenges to all areas of life to improve quality and efficiency in life. The development of digital technology has affected all aspects of life including the retail business. With these various problems, researchers are interested in how the implications of digitalization on retail businesses using a canvas business model perspective. This study aims to analyze changes in retail business models due to digital transformation. Digital transformation does not only refer to technological innovation but all digital technologies used in business. As a result, the digital transformation of the retail sector has gradually increased with the presence of various technologies. This technology allows retailers to build new strategies around supply chain and loyalty program management. New business opportunities and complementary services are also developed. Another major digital transformation in retail is the arrival of the internet and mobile technology. E-commerce is on the rise and changing the retail landscape.
