Abstract

Employee performance is the result of work that can be achieved by employees in accordance with their authority and responsibility in order to achieve organizational goals legally, not violating the law, and in accordance with morals. The objectives of this study were: 1) 1) To determine and analyze the influence of work culture on the person-environment fit 2) To determine and analyze the effect of work discipline on the person-environment fit 3) To determine and analyze the influence of work culture on employee performance 4) To determine and analyze the effect of work discipline on employee performance 5 ) To determine and analyze the influence of the person-environment on employee performance 6) To determine and analyze the influence of work culture on employee performance through the person-environment fit 7) To determine and analyze the effect of work discipline on employee performance through the person-environment fit. This research is quantitative with an associative design. The population is office employees of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of East Java Province who have the status of Civil Servants (PNS) in 2022, which amounts to 196 people.  This study used the census method. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. Statistical analysis method using SEM PLS through SmartPLS software. The results of this study show that: 1) Work culture has a significant and positive effect on the person-environment fit.  2) Work discipline does not have a significant effect on the person-environment fit.  3) Work culture has a significant effect on employee performance.  4) Work discipline has a significant and positive effect on employee performance.  5) Person environment fit has a significant and positive effect on employee performance.  6) Work culture has a significant and positive effect on employee performance through the person-environment fit.  7) Work discipline does not have a significant effect on employee performance through the person-environment fi
